DREAM TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD
& GIVE KIDS THE WORLD VILLAGE

Goal: $5,000

Cye was diagnosed with High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on May 22, 2023. We can't even begin to express the devastation we felt when the doctor came in to tell us that our youngest child of three had Leukemia. It's heartbreaking and terrifying to be so young, three years old, and already having to battle for your life.

As parents, all we want to do is protect our children and yet we are still processing this news. There is never time to wrap our heads around this entire ordeal because we're too busy trying to stay strong and learn our new norm. As a family, we will never be the same again. We definitely appreciate the value of time spent with your loved ones. We are grateful for the little things, worry less about what used to be the big things, and care more deeply. Our entire outlook on cancer has changed in a way that only someone who's been in our shoes can understand. Fear and hope are emotions felt on a daily basis simultaneously.

Prior to being diagnosed, Cye loved going to the park, dancing, singing, going on family vacations, swimming, playing with toys, and playing with his siblings and other kids. He enjoyed going to movies, family outings, large events, etc. He was always so full of energy, keeping everyone on their toes. He was very happy, silly, funny, and extremely talkative. He is very smart and can impress many with how many dinosaurs he names he actually knows.

Since being diagnosed, Cye has had a hard time walking and has developed neuropathy. He gets easily fatigued and consistently nauseous, and his weight/appetite fluctuates constantly. The physical pain comes and goes in waves. His emotions are a roller coaster. He misses family and friends and is able to go out and enjoy himself. Cye loves dinosaurs and superheroes. In fact, when he faces something he openly admits to being scared of, he gains courage by saying, "I'll be strong like Hulk!" (He uses all superheroes). He'll also will say, "I'm tough like a T-Rex." (He also uses different dinosaurs).

This dream would be a chance to experience joy and give him a light in the midst of what he has to endure. It would allow us to let go of our current stresses, anxieties, and fears and be able to enjoy the smiles on each other’s faces. It is a celebration of struggles overcome, lessons learned, and strength gained. Two and a half years of my son's, his siblings, and our family’s life will be devoted to this battle. No child or family should have to go through this. This dream will allow my kids to be kids again. A reminder that something scary and hard can be followed by something fun and exciting with great memories to be made.

What will it take?!

It will cost $5,000 to fulfill our goal of covering the costs of Cye's dream trip.
