Mark is a 7 year old from Stockton, MO. Mark loves nature and being outside. He loves fishing, hunting and camping. He is super knowledgeable about nature and reptiles and amphibians.

Mark’s journey started when he became really pale. His mom immediately knew something wasn’t right, so Mark was taken to the doctor. His pediatrician thought he may be anemic from a growth spurt and requested lab work be done. That night, Mark was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. and sent us immediately for treatment.

Upon diagnosis, Mark was immediately sent for treatment. He was in active treatment for the next two and a half years. Just when he was almost done with treatment, Mark was diagnosed with Relapsed B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The relapse caused neuro damage to his spine and brain, to the point where he was unable to walk. They were told he may not be able to again, but with treatment and physical therapy, he recovered. He began chemo and CAR-T treatment when he relapsed again a year later. Mark has had years of chemotherapy, spinal taps, bone marrow biopsies, CAR-T cell therapy, and is headed towards radiation and a bone marrow transplant.
