Maximus is a 9-year-old boy from Sanger, California
and we’re on a mission to raise $5,000
to send Maximus and his family on a
DREAM Trip to Disneyland
where they can make wonderful memories together, OUTSIDE of the hospital!
Maximus was the boyest boy ever and by that I mean you could never catch him inside, he was always outside exploring the country and making every day a good day. We lived in the country and he would be outside all day with his best friend, our neighbor.
When we got the news it was the biggest shock ever. He had no symptoms, only a headache and woke up from one day to the next with a tumor. Since his diagnosis, he is really clingy and never wants to be away from me. He has nightmares due to the chemo and has slept with us since the chemo started. He was very independent before and now needs me for everything.
He is the youngest of 4 kids and I've been with him every step of the way so that has caused me to not be with my other children while we all went thru this journey. All though my other children understand in the beginning it was very hard for them. Not only to see him like that but to also not have their parents as much as they needed. Maximus has had to be very careful of what he does and where he goes.
We missed the chance to take him to Disneyland last year because we were drowning in bills. He loves Marvel movies and Disney movies. Every year we would take our kids to six flags or great America but haven't since he was diagnosed because of the weather and his condition.
Taking Maximus to Disneyland would be a dream come true. We just want him to enjoy his childhood forget about medicine and doctor visits and just be a kid. He and his brothers truly deserve a break from reality.
